Dear Friend:
Thank you for visiting my re-election website. I trust
that this site will aid me in sharing with you my platform
issues and expounding on some of the things you will
see and hear during the campaign.
Since the election in 2002, I have served the constituents
of House District 15 representing Laurens and Newberry
counties in the South Carolina House of Representatives.
I have worked hard to do what is right, as well as what is
in the best interest for all who live and work in South
Carolina.
There is no question that we have had to make some tough
decisions. And, although we have made progress on a
great number of fronts, there is still a lot of work to do.
That’s why, with the support of my family and the
encouragement of many friends and supporters, I have
made the decision to seek re-election in 2008.
One of my heroes, President Ronald Reagan, often spoke
of his vision for America as a “Shining City on a Hill.” Well,
I too have that vision – but in my vision, it is South Carolina
and House District 15 – Clinton, Laurens, Newberry, Whitmire, Joanna and the surrounding areas of the district that are seen as shining examples of economic prosperity and quality of life for the rest of the state and nation.
Through this site, I look forward to sharing this vision with you, sharing with you my accomplishments over the past four years and allowing you to get to know me a little better.
Most of all, though, Melody and I, along with our boys, look forward to being out on the campaign trail, listening to your concerns and getting to know you a little better.
Duncan Wins Republican Primary on June 13th!
In the Republican Primary held June 13th in Laurens and Newberry Counties, Jeff Duncan, the two term incumbent, carried every precinct resulting in a 69% to 31% margin of victory. “We are honored by the vote of confidence in our service to the State and to the District,” Duncan said. “I look forward to continuing to fight for fiscal responsibility for state government, economic development for the state and the district, strengthening private property rights and working to get more of the resources allocated to public education in South Carolina down to the classroom. This is the message we campaigned on and the voters tended to agree with our platform.”
